EuroSDR Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in core business processes of NMCAs

13 - 15 November 2024 (Kadaster, Naritaweg 3, 1043 BP, Amsterdam. )

THIS WORKSHOP HAS PASSED.  Presentations from the day are available via the Agenda below.

From 13 to 15 November 2024,  a EuroSDR workshop on Artificial Intelligence in core business processes of NMCAs will be held in Amsterdam.

Following the previous announcement during the BOD144 in Zwolle, EuroSDR, Commission 2: Modelling, Integration and Processing and Commission 3: Information Usage and Visualisation bring together AI experts active in core business processes from NMCAs. The aim is to present and discuss different AI-related activities, interests and challenges within NMCAs. The organising committee consists of NMCA delegates from Norway, Sweden, Catalonia and the Netherlands

On the afternoon of Wednesday 13 November, external (business) partners will share their thoughts regarding the future and what is in the pipeline for them. This aims to provide inspirational sessions and out-of-the-box ideas. Thursday 14 November will focus on country presentations and break-out sessions and Friday morning is about the future of NMCAs.  Themes of the event include AI and mapping, such as change detection and point cloud segmentation, but also AI and textual recognition, deed registration and data extraction. During break-out sessions, we would like to discuss topics as legal issues, organizational culture, ethics, quality control and collaboration. This first workshop aims at bringing together AI-experts in NMCAs and provides room for 25 participants.

Therefore, we have developed the following short survey: https://forms.office.com/e/iwbDVqLEBF.

Participation

Participation is aimed at experts working with AI in NMCAs. It is open to a limited number of 25 participants because of its in-depth aim and fostering of discussion and knowledge exchange.

Call for Presentations

We invite NMCAs to present their ongoing AI-related activities, with their challenges and opportunities. A presentation slot cannot be guaranteed since this depends on the number of registrations. However, we hope many of you are interested and willing to share your thoughts, either by presenting or through discussion. Please contact Lennart.harmsen@kadaster.nl if you are interested in giving such a presentation or if you have any questions.
