Short biography

Iuliana Pârvu is the Head of the Photogrammetry Department at the National Center of Cartography. She obtained her PhD degree in 2021 at the Technical University of Civil Engineering – Romania on the topic 3D building modelling. The main activities coordinated are quality control for geodetic, cartographic and photogrammetric projects in Romania and research activities in the field of photogrammetry in national and international projects.

About NCC

The National Center of Cartography (NCC) is a public institution with legal personality subordinated to the National Agency for Cadaster and Land Registration (NACLR).

NCC is responsible with the implementation and maintenance of the official maps of Romania and of the digital terrain model, based on its own data and third party data. It also play an important role in the implementation of regulations and technical specifications developed by the NACLR, in the specific field of activity. The design, execution, and maintenance of national geodetic networks is an important part of NCCs activity.

The research in the fields of activity, photogrammetry, geodesy, and cartography is done in house and by participating in national or international research and innovation projects.
