Overview:
Crowdsourcing and Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) are long established topics of the AGILE conferences and have attracted considerable research effort over the last 10 - 15 years. Now is an opportune time to assess where we are now and what has been achieved in the domain of Crowdsourcing and VIG. Eleven years on from the first AGILE workshop in Leuven (2013) on VGI from the NMCA perspective, EuroSDR and AGILE are now organising a new workshop to share the lessons learned, good practice and current flagship projects or initiatives in this area in order to bring into focus the current research exploring VGI methods, technologies, and crowdsourcing communities.
