EuroSDR Workshop LOD2 BUILDING MODEL GENERATION
Workshop on LOD2 BUILDING MODEL GENERATION
29 Nov Update - Presentations from the workshop:
LOD2 Building Data Production in Estonia - Andres Kasekamp
3D buildings in a topographic landscape model - Raphael Bovier
LOD2 building reconstruction benchmark using LIDAR data - Emmanuel Séguin
BuildingReconstruction – A tool for LoD2 building reconstruction - Lutz Ross
13th November 2023 - Online - 14:00-17:00 CET
3D buildings models are normally divided into multiple levels of details (LoDs), with different geometric and semantic information for varying levels of application. LOD2 models, which add simple or detailed roof structured to basic LOD1 models, are more and more requested and the availability of higher resolution geospatial data and automated methods is opening new avenues for the generation of such products.
The EuroSDR workshop wants to shed some light on data and methods for LOD2 generation and usage in NMCAs. The aim is to understand the status-quo of LOD2 products within European mapping agencies, which data are used, which data are used, which modeling procedures are in place, which uses and applications are made.
