EuroSDR is happy to announce the launch of a PhD activity to support its delegates and NMCAs. The PhD topic aims to investigate multispectral airborne/UAV laser scanning and its integration with multispectral imaging. The topic includes radiometric calibration of LiDAR data, co-registration of multi-spectral images and LiDAR data, accuracy assessment, real-time environment perception, exploitation of multi-spectral info for mapping purposes, etc. The PhD, funded by EuroSDR, will be held as a collaborative research among Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK), TU Vienna and the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute (FGI).
